**Warning: Spoilers ahead if you aren't up to date on The Walking Dead**
The midseason finale of The Walking Dead, "Start to Finish," was relatively tame compared to past installments, although it did include one amazing zombie:
Thankfully, a prologue after the credits rolled did offer a small glimpse of what lies ahead for Rick, Daryl, and the rest of our survivors. Picking up with Abraham, Sasha, and Daryl in the truck, the three encounter a group of bikers kicking it in the middle of the road, armed to the teeth, waiting. Here it is, if you missed it, or want a second look:
We aren't given a glimpse of Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan, but the inclusion of some of his Saviors is a tasty morsel for fans of the comic who've been anticipating this plot line. "Your property now belongs to Negan." So yes, Daryl, Abraham, and Sasha are in big trouble as their fate now seems to be in the hands of one of creator Robert Kirkman's most vicious characters.
Kirkman appeared on Talking Dead after the finale and revealed little, "We’ll be finding out a lot more about the Saviors, Negan’s group, soon.” But the writer and executive producer did say he introduced Negan in the 100th issue of the comic to entice readers not to give up on the series and he wanted the same effect for the TV show. “This catalyst is going to be thrown in at some point in the future that’s just going to fundamentally change everything that we are doing."
What can we look forward to when the show returns on February 14, 2016? Read Kirkman's lips:
"So many people die."
So watch out. The midseason finale may have been underwhelming, but insanity lies ahead.
