Someone near you is facing something scary this week.
At Halloween, a porch light says more than “we have candy.” It says, “Come on up. You’re welcome here.” That one little light can make the dark feel a little less lonely.
But do we live with our "porch lights" all year? Eyes open to the people around us walking through the dark, ready to welcome them and remind them they’re not alone?

That’s the light of Jesus we’re called to shine. Who needs it this week? A friend who just lost their job. A neighbor facing a scary diagnosis. A family holding on by a thread.
On GiveSendGo, there are people in hard seasons near you, too. Open someone’s fundraiser and tap Pray to send them an encouraging prayer, by name. It costs nothing, but unlike candy that’s gone by morning, prayer leaves a hope that lasts.

A generous heart doesn’t need deep pockets, just a willingness to remind someone they’re not alone. So start with prayer, and if their story moves you, consider giving to help meet their need, too.
