Cooler weather is setting in, and a season of generosity is upon us. But here’s something worth remembering — generosity doesn’t always require money.

The stories in this newsletter remind us that generosity often begins when someone sees a need and chooses to do something about it. Sometimes that means starting a fundraiser. Other times it’s a prayer, a meal, a phone call, or simply letting someone know they’re not alone.

As you read, think of someone in your own life who could use encouragement this week. You never know how God might use a simple act of kindness to make a real difference.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

— 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)

Stories of Hope

Help Zephaniah Faith and Her Family

When sweet Zephy was diagnosed with leukemia, the Mizrahi family’s circle started a fundraiser and rallied around them in prayer and support.

Earlier this month, after tests showed cancer in her spinal fluid, they asked everyone to link arms and pray. Less than two weeks later, a second test found not one cancerous cell. Her medical team said they were astounded. The family is rejoicing, still walking the road ahead, and being carried the whole way by a community standing with them.

Chrest Family Housefire

The Chrest family lost their home to a fire in the early hours of July 21st. Everyone made it out safe. A friend, Sara, started a fundraiser the same day to help them rebuild, with a $40,000 goal. Within three days the community had passed it, with words of prayer and encouragement attached to each gift.

Both families had someone step in and start a fundraiser when they needed help. Maybe you know someone going through a difficult time, or maybe you’re facing a challenge yourself. Whatever the need, you don’t have to face it alone. Start a fundraiser today and give others the opportunity to help.

A Note from Jacob

Hey everyone, as we wrap up another quarter, I’ve been reflecting on how much this community means to us. Watching fundraisers come together, stories get shared, and people step up for one another never gets old. It’s a reminder of why we built GiveSendGo in the first place.

If you want more of the unfiltered updates, thoughts, and occasional behind-the-scenes stuff between these newsletters, come find me

@Jacobawells on X. I try to keep it real and personal over there.

Hurricane Isaias Relief

When Hurricane Isaias hit the Gulf Coast earlier this month, GiveSendGo Charities launched a Day One Relief fund to get help to the families hit hardest, faster than insurance or traditional aid can reach them. Power is back for most of the region now, but for many, recovery is just beginning: flooded homes to clear, roofs to repair, and a long road of rebuilding ahead.

Your gift helps meet urgent needs now and walks with these families through what comes next.
