Comedienne Amy Poehler is the newest celebrity to receive her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
In a ceremony held on Thursday, Poehler joined fellow actress Rashida Jones on the streets of Hollywood, where Jones spoke highly of her industry colleague, highlighting the 44-year-old's nearly 20-years in entertainment.
Throughout the last two decades, Poehler has acted in nearly 20 feature films (including BFF Tina Fey's Mean Girls and Inside Out's ever-positive Joy, lest we forget), voiced chipmunks, fairytale characters, and Dr. Seuss' creatures, and made us laugh until we cried via shows like Arrested Development, Parks & Rec, and Broad City.
That's not even considering her nine years time with Saturday Night Live, where her comedy chops first gained notoriety.
Next on Poehler's list of seemingly nonstop projects is the December 18 release of new film Sisters, created and co-written by Fey. Then, the very next day, the two will head back to their roots to host SNL's Christmas episode.
We're glad this busy lady made time to accept an honor she very much deserves.
Congrats, Amy Poehler!
